In October of 2024, Stephanie Vaquer made her debut in WWE’s NXT program, where she won both of the NXT titles; her first title being the NXT North American Championship in February of 2025. A month after that, she won the NXT Women’s Championship.
Vaquer then surprised fans in April 2025, when she made the decision to relinquish the North American Title, as she thought it was unfair for her to defend both titles. Some also speculated it was due to the fact that she was going to be moved to the main roster in WWE, as she debuted a couple of months after relinquishing the North American title. After she lost the Women’s NXT title to Jayce Jayne in May of 2025. Though after that, she had officially made her debut as part of the main roster on WWE, appearing on Monday Night RAW.
She received a majority of positive comments from fans for her performance in the ring
Another thing was how she acted in the ring; she always had her head in the game and never spent a lot of time cheering with her fans, especially if the match was still ongoing
In September of 2025, Vaquer was chosen to face former Women’s World Champion, Iyo Sky, at Wrestlepalooza, an event that’s supposed to start the countdown to the world championship event, Crown Jewel. The new holder of the Women’s World Title gets to face WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Crown Jewel Title.
Sky was originally going to face Naomi (Trinity Fatu) who was the reigning Women’s World Champion, but she had to relinquish the title in August of 2025, due to her announcing her pregnancy, leaving the title vacant, and Vaquer was the number one contender to face Sky, because she won the Evolution 2 Battle Royal in July of 2025, which gave her the push that she needed to be the leading pick to face Sky.
Weeks prior to their official match, many people were putting in their predictions on who they think is gonna be the next Women’s World Champion.
Many were saying that Vaquer was gonna win, due to Sky already being in another storyline which involves Sky being stuck in between the rivalry between her friend and tag partner, Rhea Ripley, and her former friends now turned nemesis, The Kabuki Warriors; Asuka and Kairi Sane.
Vaquer would go on to Wrestlepalooza and defeat Sky, becoming the new Women’s World Champion, and will be facing Stratton for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship in Perth, Australia.
During their match, Vaquer was able to do a strong performance against Stratton, and was even able to avoid one of her more dangerous moves, in which Stratton would drive her opponent into one of the ring corners and cartwheel into her opponent.
One of the commentary guys in the match had pointed out that Vaquer had been studying Stratton prior to their match.
Because of that, Vaquer was able to beat Stratton and became the 2025 Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.
This was a very big moment for Vaquer because she not only became a world champion while still being fairly new to WWE’s main roster, but she also became the second-ever woman to be Crown Jewel Champion.
Shortly after her win, Vaquer would appear on Monday Night RAW, where she would be confronted by members of the Judgement Day (a group of heel wrestlers), Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.
(Heel is a villain character in WWE, and Babyface, or simply just Face, is a hero character, which is the one fans often cheer for)
Rodriguez was trying to discourage Vaquer by saying she never deserved the title. Vaquer, who has kept humble, yet proud of her milestone, immediately stood up for herself and said that she knows Rodriguez is probably upset due to her and Perez losing a tag match against Bayley (Pamela Rose Martinez) and Lyra Valkyria. Vaquer tried to be understanding, but immediately said it was not her problem.
Perez then steps in, saying it would’ve been her problem if she got the match she deserved. As she believed she should’ve been the one to face Sky for the Women’s World Champion. She claimed she was the last one to defeat Sky before Wrestlepalooza. So she said she should’ve been the one to face Sky instead of Vaquer, in her exact words, “Everyone seems to forget that I was the last one that beat Iyo Sky, so I should’ve been at Wrestlepalooza. I should be the Women’s World Champion. As a matter of fact, I should be Crown Jewel Champion.”
Vaquer then fearlessly told her, “I don’t care who you’ve beaten, because you will never beat me. If you want to face me, then stop crying and do something about it.”
Vaquer received praise for humbling the Judgement Day, as some people even said that all the things she said were true, as someone even says, “She’s right! All Perez does is whine and cry.”
Next Monday on RAW, Vaquer and Perez would have their match to see if Perez was a worthy contender for the World Title instead of Vaquer.
Unfortunately for Vaquer, the Judgement Day was well known for playing dirty and cheating during matches.
Because that’s exactly what happened during their match when Rodriguez was taking cheap shots at Vaquer when she was within reach, and pushing her off the ropes. This built difficulty for Vaquer as she was now fighting two people, both in and out of the ring, which also led to her getting her shoulder injured by Perez.
So when Vaquer was still able to win the match, but not without getting beaten up by the Judgment Day.
At this point, with her injured shoulder, it was hard for Vaquer to fight back.
Fortunately, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella came in and immediately came to Vaquer’s aid.
This would later start a match and a rivalry between Bella and Perez, because Perez was a fan of Bella before she signed to WWE, even wishing to be her tag partner someday. But now it’s gone.
During a backstage conversation, Bella warned Vaquer that now that she has a title, especially the World Title. She’s now a target for almost all the women in the industry, and she should be careful who she trusts. This was something Bella said was something she wished someone had told her when she was champion.
Vaquer and Bella would team up and have a tag match against Perez and Rodriguez, and if the Judgement Day was able to defeat Bella and Vaquer, Rodriguez would have a chance to face Vaquer for her World Title.
Unfortunately, Rodriguez qualified for the match after she made Bella fail to make a tag to Vaquer, which Perez took to her advantage and used her finisher “Pop Rox” on Bella and covered her. The ref counted her out, giving Perez and Rodriguez the victory.
Later, backstage, Bella apologized to Vaquer and said she was at fault cause now she possibly cost Vaquer her title.
Vaquer reassures her and tells her she’s got it.
Recently, on Nov 10, 2025, the match was set, and many fans were hyped about it. Vaquer came out accompanied by Bella to act as support and to be Vaquer’s eyes out of the ring.
Vaquer had a couple of disadvantages when fighting Rodriguez. She was physically stronger, being 6’0, but especially since Rodriguez was accompanied by Perez, who was also trying to sabotage Vaquer during the match. Luckily, Bella was there and made sure Perez would not ruin the match.
Soon, Vaquer once again succeeded in defending her title and was happy that she had the help of her friend to make sure she had a fair match.
Until Bella surprised everyone by hitting Vaquer with her own Championship Belt and telling her that she’s now after her title too, marking her back to her heel self.
This was a very shocking moment for fans and Vaquer, but many fans loved it as they said the face role never really suited Bella. This could also mark a bigger story plot for Vaquer.
