Wrapping up an electric regular season: Wilson Bulldogs Football
As the Wilson Bulldogs’ 2025 Football season wraps up. There are many great things for the Bulldogs to reflect on for the season.
Though they had a devastating loss to Manheim Township in the L.L. championship game. There is still nothing to frown upon after this season.
Whether it’s head coach Doug Dahms reaching his 200th career victory as the Bulldogs head coach. Or continuing “The Streak.” (49 consecutive winning seasons)
The Bulldogs started off their season with a bang in the first two games vs Cheltenham(24-35) and Plymouth Whitemarsh(27-7).
Until week 3, in a disappointing loss to Peyton Falzone and the Nazareth Blue Eagles(30-20).
They will be reminded of this loss as the Bulldogs enter the playoffs. According to Coach Doug Dahms, it is said that the Bulldogs are using that as a motivator for the playoffs.
They have had many notable wins throughout the season as well. One of them included beating the Hempfield Black Knights 38-28. After being down 14-7 at halftime, with all of the momentum seeming to be on the Black Knights’ side.
The game against Hempfield pretty much sums up the regular season for the Bulldogs team.
The Bulldogs also had many players who played a great role this season in their success.
Mason Young at quarterback had a great season as one of the leaders of the Wilson offence. Mason Young had an outstanding average of 182.4 passing yards per game. As well as finishing off the season with 1824 passing yards and a passer rating of 114.8.
Two other great role players that showed out for Wilson this year are Senior wide receivers Elijah Dean and Jaiden Carpenter.
Sadly, Elijah Dean went down with an ankle injury against J.P. McCaskey in week 9. But Eli still racked up some great stats for the Bulldogs and was a huge part of their success.
Dean racked up an Astonishing 27 receptions for 317 receiving yards this season. He averaged 31.7 receiving yards per game for the Bulldogs.
Jaiden Carpenter put up some great numbers as well. Carpenter has an impressive 509 receiving yards this season with an average of 17.6 yards per catch.
The bulldogs, individually and as a team, have done many good things this season and are very proud of their accomplishments
More of these accomplishments can also be seen on The Defensive side for the Bulldogs
One of the best Defensive studs for the Bulldogs is Junior Middle Linebacker E.J Brownback.
Brownback has been a great force for their defence ever since his Sophomore year in the 2024 season. Where he racked up 77 total Tackles for the Bulldogs
In 2025, Brownback had already racked up 97 total tackles only in the regular season.
As said in a conversation with EJ Brownback. “I’m coming for that all-time tackling record.”
Brownback will surely be a great player to watch for the Bulldogs for the rest of this season. As well as the 2026 season.
But according to the Bulldogs coach Doug Dahms, “This is just the beginning”. The bulldogs say they are ready to go on a potential playoff run and are looking for revenge on the Harrisburg Cougars. After a very disappointing district championship loss to them last season.
